Grateful Dissatisfaction

The foundation upon which I choose to build my business and personal life is one of gratitude.  In difficult times gratitude for faith, family, country, community, home, health and companion animals places present circumstances in the context of a lifetime of good things.

Some think of gratitude as merely historical.  I disagree.  For me, gratitude for past personal and professional achievement ignites a positive dissatisfaction with the present.  Some think of gratitude as merely passive. Again, I disagree.  For me, gratitude sets the stage for the sort of planning and activity that fuels future achievement and informs an enlightened assessment of results and necessary course-correction.

So, may I pose questions that are appropriate for any season?

What are you grateful for… and to Whom?
